Amanda Chioma David, known professionally by the mononym Ermandha, is a multi-hyphenate Nigerian media executive, foremost television presenter, producer, actor, singer, voiceover artist, poet, author and international journalist. Operating at the intersection of media architecture, entertainment technology, and strategic brand infrastructure, she has built a distinguished career professionalizing and elevating creative enterprises across the African continent.

She currently serves as the Business and Partnership Manager for Blackdrum 360 and Blackdrum TV, where she designs operational frameworks and drives cross-border commercial pipelines. Additionally, she holds the position of Head of Media for The Humour Awards Academy, managing media operations, executive activations, and strategic industry partnerships.

Driven by an entrepreneurial commitment to industry growth, she is the founder of Rara Avis Entertainment, a standalone brand dedicated to building structural operational pipelines within the creative sector. Under this banner, she oversees initiatives such as the Rara Avis Debut Award (RADA).

She also handles critical media operations and production management for BOFIRM Consulting, coordinating executive-level conferences and corporate media frameworks, like the CCISONFI CONFERENCE 2025.

As a certified digital cybersecurity journalist, she actively champions data integrity and secure infrastructure within modern journalism. She loves the arts and so naturally covers and writes on arts, culture, fashion, music, creative tech, and general entertainment.

Her global media footprint includes working as a Sheffield Documentary Film Festival accredited Journalist, covering the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival, covering the US-NG Global Inclusivity AI Summit and serving as a dedicated member and ally of the Documentary Film Council UK alongside her role as a McKinsey Global Survey Panelist.

An internationally recognized powerhouse, her leadership and on-screen excellence have earned her top honors across the continent, including winning the SHE Global Award for Entertainment Founder of the Year and being named TV Personality of the Year at the Ghana Prominence Awards 2025.

From high-profile live television hosting and extensive voiceover productions, including recording instructional manuals for international corporations like Bristow Helicopters Nigeria, Narrating for a WHO drama, recording the NYSC anthem for the youth service corp, to managing backstage media architecture at major ceremonies like the 4th Edition of The Humour Awards, producing the SMA prelaunch sponsors event and hosting Social Media Awards, syndicating African content and more, Ermandha continues to shape the international future of African media and corporate brand strategy. TRIVIA

- Ermandha is actually a variation of the name Amanda. The first “ER” is a schwa, while the “DHA” was inspired by a popular TV show “Dharma and Greg“!
- As an undergraduate, she worked for GSAT, where she traveled during breaks to several Nigerian cities and villages, covering interviews in the Nigerian local sports scene. At GSAT she conducted interviews with sports legends in different cities where GSAT scouted for talented footballers. She compered the scouting event and was the company secretary. She was the writer and editor of the first GSAT magazine, which helped GSAT secure a football deal in Turkey for a player.
- During that era, she had some stint in the industry as a model, where she was selected as a contestant on the Silverbird TV sponsored reality TV show created by two-time, Mr Nigeria; Deji Bakare. Amanda was a top finalist and was renowned for her poetry, singing, wit, presenting and innovative skills on the Deji Bakare Models with Talent reality TV show (DBATS).

- She has also featured as a vixen in some music videos featuring popular Nigerian celebrities like AO Machine’s Loud Oh featuring Flowolf, Dremo, Ik Onyema, and with guest appearances by Magnito, Vector and more. She was also in a music video, Coded by FR One, shot by Stanz Visuals. It won the best music video at the Pan African Music Awards in Luxembourg.
- She’s also had “ghost writing” jobs in which she’s written and created entertainment stories for educational purposes. Her hobby is creating ideas—which includes shows for TV, writing proposals and creating advertising strategies/contents for companies. In her portfolio includes writing successful proposals for event organizers and creating events.
- She’s the brand ambassador of a real estate company—Mindrev luxury and homes; where in addition to being brand ambassador, initiated and hosts the brand’s Radio show on Jolli FM.
